homestead learning
Learning through animals, gardens, seasons, and real-life experiences.

Animal Observation
Children observe animals from safe viewing areas and learn how living things are cared for.
Garden Learning
Planting seeds, watering, watching plants grow, and harvesting age-appropriate produce.
Outdoor Play
Daily time outside for unstructured movement, exploration, and discovery.
Seasonal Projects
Activities that follow the seasons — pumpkins in fall, seedlings in spring.
Nature Journaling / Art
Drawing flowers, sorting leaves, and creating with natural materials.
Practical Life Skills
Pouring, tidying, watering plants, washing hands — independence in small steps.
Safety & Hygiene
Clear handwashing and hygiene routines after outdoor and homestead activities.
Safety language. Animal areas are planned to be separate from the licensed child care play area. Children may observe animals from safe viewing areas, and any hands-on interaction will be supervised, age-appropriate, parent-approved, and followed by handwashing and hygiene routines.
